Auto Export Shipping has been awarded with the prestigious African Leadership Award during the America-Africa business forum in Atlanta. The Award was delivered to Andrea Amico, President of Jack Cooper Logistics, which owns Auto Export Shipping, by His Excellency the Nigerian Ambassador and General Consul Geoffrey I. Teneilabe.
AES was "carefully selected by the Management and Board of the African Leadership magazine to receive a Special Commendation Award in recognition of your invaluable contributions to the growth and support for trade between Africa and the Americas, as a leading logistics services provider. This prestigious award is designed to honour best practices, investments and outstanding achievements of businesses, core stakeholders and policy makers that have sustained economic cooperation between the Americas and Africa."
“AES has been a leader in the vehicle trade between the US and Africa for the last 13 years” said Andrea Amico “and I am proud to say that in the past 12 months we have delivered vehicles to every single Sub-Saharan country that has an ocean port (with the exception of Guinea Bissau – but working on that)!”
“AES was the company that started the business of exporting used vehicles from the East Coast to Nigeria” he added “and while it is good business it is also not lost on us that every year we help tens of thousands of people to achieve greater mobility and elevate their social status in Africa”.
